Preparing for your first appointment at Cascade Hand & Orthopedic Rehab
Before your visit, make a list of questions you’d like to ask during your first meeting and call our office ahead of time to verify your insurance benefits at (239) 344-8404.
You will register at the front desk when you arrive at our office. We’ll ask for your insurance information and any other paperwork you may have brought with you (i.e., referral, X-ray or MRI report, or other medical reports). Be prepared to talk about your medical history, previous treatments, limitations you’re dealing with, and other relevant details.

Thanks to Direct Access, you do not need a doctor's referral or prescription to receive treatment from a hand therapist. Direct Access is the legal right that enables patients in all fifty states and the District of Columbia to access hand therapy services and programs directly.
Do keep in mind that Direct Access does not apply to insurance carriers, who may require a referral or prescription. Reach out to your insurance provider to confirm the details.
